ways to give
The Two Rivers Community Foundation is dedicated to promoting local grass-root philanthropy. We believe the best way to support our community is by making your gift to either of the two funds managed by the 2RCF Board: the T.R.U.E. Grants Fund and the 2RCF General Fund.
T.R.U.E. Grants Fund has been established in perpetuity and is overseen by a committee of the board. The committee meets to review applications and makes annual grant awards to area nonprofit organizations. With the support of 2RCF donors, many area nonprofits have been able to complete projects and expand their outreach all over the Roaring Fork and Colorado River Valleys.
The 2RCF General Fund provides discretionary funding for the 2RCF board to respond to current community needs (such as emergency relief during COVID) as issues and needs arise. The General Fund can also be used to assist with operational responsibilities associated with the Foundation’s charitable mission.
As a fiscal agent to many area nonprofits and individuals, we also are the home to several restricted-purpose funds. To learn more, please go to Our Funds.
Donors are encouraged to make donations to 2RCF from their Donor Advised Fund, Qualified Charitable Distributions from personal IRAs, or set up a legacy plan.

There are many ways to give as an individual or family:

Give to the General Fund- Know you want to make a gift, but not sure who you want to support? Making a gift to the 2RCF General Fund is a terrific answer - many nonprofits come to us every year, and things happen in our community where everyone wants to help. This fund is where urgent community issues can be addressed.

Give to our T.R.U.E. Grants fund that will support annual grants to local non-profits through an endowed fund in perpetuity.

Scholarship Fund- donate a sum of money to be given as a scholarship according to your criteria over a determined period of time.

do you have a charitable idea that needs support? We are here to help.
If you have an idea, or have already started collecting funds to support a charitable idea but are not quite prepared to be your own 501(c)(3), we may be able to provide just the support you need.

2RCF serves as the fiscal agent to several organizations carrying out philanthropic projects and raising funds to support a particular purpose.

In partnership with the Western Colorado Community Foundation, we can help an organization that has grown its principal large enough to support ongoing giving. We are happy to help create a transition to a WCCF supported fund.
